Following the success of last year’s event, we are proud and excited to announce Taste Port Douglas for 2014.
 
Saturday May 24, the historic Sugar Wharf, Dixie Street, Port Douglas will transform into a foodie wonderland with eating, drinking and general socialising on Port Douglas’ most spectacular historical location.
 
Watch cooking displays from visiting celebrity chefs and sample food from our town’s finest restaurants as they serve their chosen dishes for the ultimate alfresco feast. Over 25 individual producers and suppliers will present a bounty of the best product from around the region for you to sample, enjoy and take home.
 
Enjoy a superb selection of Queensland, Australian and International wines and beers on the deck or head over to the lawn and relax in our newest addition, the Taste Bar!

The event will run from 9:30am to 4pm with interactive cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs, Colin Fassnidge (My Kitchen Rules Judge, chef & restaurateur), Massimo Mele (TV personality, Executive Chef at La Scala Restaurant, Sydney) and Ian Curley (The European group of restaurants, Melbourne).
 
Local talent, Nick Holloway (Nu Nu, Palm Cove), Tony Sassi (Sassi Cucina e Bar) and Todd Malone (Malone’s Butchery) will also take to the stage.
 
Spencer Patrick, owner of Harrisons and Bucci Port Douglas will MC stage presentations throughout the day with Colin & Massimo, creating unique presentations with lots of insightful questions and playful banter.

The Sugar Wharf is easily accessibly by local shuttle bus, car, bicycle or foot.
 
Located on Dixie Street (at the top end of Macrossan Street, opposite the Courthouse Hotel), the Wharf is a prominant vista. Entrence to the event will be well signed - just follow your nose!
